5.11 Tactical Men's EVO 8" Desert Side Zip Boot - Military & Law Enforcement Combat Boots, Style 12347 - Perfect for Outdoor Adventures, Hiking & Tactical Operations

I have 6 pairs of those, the best quality, immoral boots.I love 5.11 boots, but the product description said these were waterproof and they most definitely are not- not even water resistant. My feet were soaked after 20 minutes of walking in wet grass. Returned them and got a different brand.The boots are comfortable. NOT Waterproof at all! They have a zipper all the way up the side with a little rubber flap behind it. As soon as water hits the zipper your feet will be wet. Like I said, boots are comfortable but was looking for waterproof as I already have summer boots that are not waterproof.I wore my last pair daily for over 2 years. I wore them outside 3-4 days a week (I work outside in all weather conditions) and I wore them on hunts all over the globe. I finally got a small tear in the rear of one boot so I ordered their replacement. I'm quite happy with the performance of these boots and I might have to order another pair or two incase 5.11 discontinues this product. I don't want to wear anything else.Update:Horrible, it's been almost 4 weeks now and my feet cannot take it anymore. The blisters have hardened over, but the boot is still savage inside. The hard plastic stitching is tearing my skin, my ankles are Throbbing. In my 19 years, this is hands down the worst boot I've worn. Going to eat the $$ loss and buy something else, the pain is ridiculous. Save yourself the pain, they only look nice, zero comfort and functionality.---------Original review:These boots are not coyote tan colored for air force OCPs, they are sand color. Luckily we can wear desert sand color until the mandatory wear date. The stitching inside the boots cut up my heels and caused horrible blisters.... HORRIBLE. Its two weeks later and I still have to wear those band-aid blister covers, which is costing me an extra $12/week. I had to buy moleskin and double pad the inside heels every few days. Unfortunately, I already threw away the box, like an idiot. I don't recommend these boots. I'm going to make the best of it since I already threw out the box. The bottom sole padding is the best part, really comfy.My husband loves these boots! He gets the same boot in black issues to him as work boots. He swears by them, comfort, fit, warmth, support!Awesome boot, been wearing them for a few months now. My only complaint is they are not wateproof but I should have expected that in a hot out boot.Update:Really disappointed in how long they lasted, had for a little over a year & blew out my right boot.Purchased these boots to replace my old pair. Couldn't find exact style purchased before, so I ordered these. Guess the company redesigned them? Bad idea. Hard plastic inside the boot makes it very uncomfortable on my feet. Placement of zipper is too far back making the boot difficult to get on and off. The older design of this boot was better. Very disappointed in the redesign. Sending them back.
